Art is Emotional.

To me photography is emotional. It reminds us of a time, a place, or a thing. Who doesn’t see a photo of falling snow and remember what that silence sounds like, or see a photo of Fall’s colors and remember the smell of dry leaves?

I first became interested in photography by way of a used Brownie camera given to me by my grandfather (too) many years ago; I believe I was seven or eight years old at the time. Since then, photography has never been far from my mind. It may have had to take a backseat from time to time, but never too far away.

I have always believed home should be a sanctuary. Sanctuary away from the hectic world outside. A space where one can relax and revive, recharge the batteries for another day. Art is one of the best ways I know to do this.

We all need to pause, if even for a moment, and lose ourselves in the beauty of our surroundings; even if that beauty is not immediately apparent. This is what I strive for in my art - an opportunity for you to step back from your hectic life and lose yourself, if even for a few precious moments. If I am able to do that, than I have succeeded at what I set out to do.

I hope you enjoy what I present as much as I enjoyed capturing these images for you.

Please check in from time to time as I will continue to add new images!
